There are countless interest groups focusing on additive manufacturing and 3D printing. They all have one thing in common: they are usually strongly industry-oriented and geographically limited. AMDefNet has set itself the goal of consolidating additive manufacturing at European level, developing principles for its use and making it available to the military and emergency services.

“We must ensure that we work together more effectively in Europe. There are many good approaches to making 3D printing available to the armed forces. Unfortunately, this usually only happens at national level and not jointly. As AM enthusiasts, we see it as our task to overcome these barriers and strengthen cooperation.”
